EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The growth rate in the world fish supply for human consumption outpaced the rate of population growth during the last five decades — the world fish supply grew by 3.2 percent annually on average in 1961-2013, twice as fast as population growth, which led to an increase in average per capita consumption. Apparent fish consumption per capita in the world increased from 9.9 kilograms on average in the 1960s to xx.x kilograms in the 1990s, and over xx kilograms in 2016.

Thus, the volume of fishery products exports from Africa has shown stable growth over the past 30 years. The value of fish exports from Africa amounted to more than $ 6 billion in 2014.

Eastern Central Atlantic (ECA, area xx according to FAO) belongs to one of the main areas of international fisheries, where the annual marine catch exceeds 4 million tonnes per year, accounting for about 21% of the total catch in the Atlantic Ocean.

The total marine catch in the waters of Mauritania was more than xxx,xxx tons in 2016, of which xxx,xxx tons were captured by the industrial fishing fleet, which is engaged mainly in pelagic fishing. Scientific studies of the Russian AtlantNIRO and studies of other countries show that the annual catch of pelagic fish in Mauritania can be more than x.x million tons.The pelagic fish market is stable and growing around the world. This increases the consumption of fish by the former Eastern European bloc countries , as their economy becomes stronger. An important part of pelagic fish from West Africa is sold on the market of Eastern Europe.

Our company cooperates with the agency PACT-Industrie S.A. Nouadhibou, Mauritanie since 2001. We conduct business on obtaining of a license for work in the fishing zone through this company, receive agency service while the vessel is entering the port of Nouadhibou or the port of Nouakchott.
